COVID-19 Relief In Any Language

76 minutes

Found In Translation Episode 367: Host Ray Collazo is joined by Co-Host Sulaih Picorelli and members of the PA Governor’s Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs (GACLA) to discuss how the state and advocates are supporting residents through the #COVID19 season. Commissioners Ida Castro, Adrian Rivera Reyes, Nelly Jimenez and Dr. Damary Bonilla-Rodriguez share how Latinos and Spanish speaking residents can access health, human, economic and educational services during this crisis. The panel also ‘connects the dots’ between the inequities that this crisis has brought to the surface and how we can use this opportunity to advocate for more systematic changes to our healthcare, education and economic systems. The panel also shares why completing the Census is so critical to our long-term societal equity agenda.

As the former Director of the EEOC, Ida Castro reflects on how this administration is handling this crisis in comparison to the administration she served.

Advocates also reflect in two languages how #COVID19 is impacting their communities and their personal lives.
